Music from Summer Heights High!!!
This is absolute divinity. If you haven’t seen the Australian comedy “Summer Heights High” (which has become a sort of cult favorite since premiering on HBO a few months ago) please do so NOW. This show is absolutely hysterical. The “mockumentary” follows three characters at Australian public school Summer Heights High: the bitchy private school girl Ja’mie, the flamboyant and completely over the top drama teacher Mr. G, and Jonah, a punk 13-year old (all played by the incredible Chris Lilley).
Anyway, we just stumbled across the soundtrack for the show, which contains a good number of Mr. G’s musical outbursts throughout the series, as well as the songs from the musical Mr. G directs during the show. These will obviously only be enjoyable if you’ve seen the show, so go and watch it if you haven’t already!

this show really is fantastic… if you haven’t seen it, you should also try to check out “we can be heroes” which also stars chris lilley. it’s a little harder to find online, we haven’t really been able to, but the stuff we’ve seen from it seems just as hysterical as summer heights high (and it also stars ja’mie!!)
