Snoopy Would Dig It: Bearplane
Check out a pretty funky new act from Vermont, DJ Philippe Bronchtein, aka Bearplane (catch him at his MySpace). His debut album, “A Portrait of the Artist as a Dead Man” just dropped, and you can pick it up for free here. Bearplane’s debut is smooth, silky electro-dance music: maybe this is blasphemous of us, but we can’t help but compare his sound to Daft Punk, the gods of catchy, electro dance music, or Squarepusher, with more pop sensibility. You hafta check out the album’s opener, the fantastic Ultimate Gluttony, below, our favorite track from the album, a short 2:33, impossibly danceable ditty… we can definitely see this track blowing up.
