Towa Tei’s “Big Fun”

Check this guy out!  Japanese DJ Towa Tei is completely new to us, but we’re absolutely loving what we’re hearing…we stumbled across his new album “Big Fun” in our journeys across the internet(s) the other day, and we’re so happy we did!  “Big Fun” is a jazzy, playful electro-dance album, a little like Koop with an urban influence.  This album immediately strikes us as somewhat different than a lot of electropop out there (and god knows, there’s a lot of good electropop out there!): this music neither takes itself too seriously, nor does it attempt irony.  It’s simple, playful, music…the album’s called “Big Fun,” after all.

Check out single Mind Wall below, featuring Miho Hatori, as well as Out of My Addiction of Love, below, and catch Towa Tei at his MySpace.
