Pipettes Line-up Change!!!
This may come as a bit of a shock, but two of the members of one of our favorite groups ever, The Pipettes, have left!! Riotbecki and Rosay have been replaced by Ani and Ana!! WTF?! The line-up change was announced rather nonchalantly on their webpage and we’re not quite satisfied with their excuse that “RiotBecki and Rosay have left to pursue other musical pursuits (which will be brilliant when they emerge), we wish them all the best, we’re all still great friends and news on their pursuits will be closely supported by us”. Can we really consider the group the same when two of the three members are replaced?
One member of the Pipettes remains, Gwenno, and if you’re Pipettes fans like us then you should definitely check out some of Gwenno’s solo demos, which she put up on her MySpace for download a while ago. The quality of the tracks isn’t that great because they’re demos, but they’re nice, and she’s from The Pipettes which makes it a must listen for us!
