Sally’s Alley: new Lucky Soul – Whoa Billy!
Woo hoo, new Lucky Soul! We’re not sure if we’ve mentioned these lovely songbirds before, but if we haven’t, take this as a long overdue KTP stamp of approval. The debut album from the five-piece London-based band, “The Great Unwanted,” was one of our 2007 favorites, offering incredibly lush, fantastically twee, modern-Motown ditties, with lead vocals from the absolutely sublime Ali Howard. Lucky Soul is now hard at work on their as-of-yet untitled sophomore album, and judging from lead single Whoa Billy!, it should be just as delectable as their debut!
