“Hassle” from Erik Hassle

The debut single from Swedish songbird Erik Hassle, Hurtful, has been out and about for a few months now, and lately seems to be picking up some speed. A few weeks ago, we were fortunate enough to get our hands on his debut album, “Hassle.” We’re not even sure if the project has an official release date yet, but it’s an incredibly smooth, completely enjoyable electro-pop debut with a lot of appeal, that has the potential to do quite well in the UK, if not internationally. “Love’s got more hooks than a fish line,” Hassle croons in the album opener Bump In The Road, and so does Hassle. While “Hassle” offers nothing completely unheard before, concerning himself mostly with relationships (he is an angsty teen, after all… think a Swedish Jess McCartney with a smidge more indie appeal!), it’s all quite enjoyable, melodic pop, and might very well make him a star. Check out his synthy, heartfelt debut single Hurtful below, along with two of our album favorites, All That I Wanted Was You, and Bump In The Road. Catch him at his MySpace here.
