New Missy: Best, Best
The first single from Missy Elliot’s “Block Party” (to drop August) is Best, Best, which you can hear below. It’s really different from the brassy, rapping, Independent Woman (she uses the word boo in Best, Best!) Missy we gushed about a few days ago, and it’s a much different sound than we were expecting after hearing some of her new music like Shake Your Pom Pom and Ching-A-Ling. It’s not a ballad, but it certainly has that kind of feel to it: she singing on this track, something we rarely hear her do. We like it, but it will take us a bit to decide if we really like it.
