Snoopy Would Dig It: The Twelves
Brazilian duo The Twelves have been around for a few years now, breaking onto the scene in a big way with their ’07 remix of M.I.A.’s Boyz, but their buzz has been building lately, and they’re quickly becoming one of the hottest remixers/DJ duos around, and one of our personal favorites. Born on the same day, July 12th (hence, The Twelves), the duo creates glittering, disco-infused, dance floor ditties, stuffed to the brim with pop sensibility. The type of remixes they create are our favorites: they leave the song intact, usually relying on the original vocals, but amp the dance possibilities and send the song rocketing into a space filled with sparkling stars. We’re majorly feeling these guys, they’ve done lots of really great things already, and are surely destined for many more. Keep your eyes on these two!
