Linus’ Blue Blanket: The Drums
Check it out! The Drums are new more-or-less quartet (although they’re often pegged as a duo) from Brooklyn, NY, and they’re already buzzin all over the place. There isn’t that much music out there from these guys, but the music that is is great – there’s been a lot of comparison to the Beach Boys, and while Let’s Go Surfing certainly has an element of Cali beach pop to it, their music is more post-punk Vampire-Weekend-style, languid, dreamy indie-pop shaded by a sandy summer aesthetic.
