Covered: Solage does Dirty Projectors’ Stillness Is The Move

Above: Solange goes to Stop & Shop.
Damn!!! Check out an absolutely funkaliscious cover of the Dirty Projector’s rightfully ubiquitous record Stillness Is The Move by Ms. Solange Knowles. Solange turns the hipster anthem into a sultry (it’s oozing w/ sex!) R&B number (not that the original wasn’t!) & samples “Bumpy’s Lament” by Soul Mann and the Brothers (subsequently sampled by Erykah Badu on “Bag Lady”). Grab it below – it’s definitely one of the best covers we’ve heard in a while & this isn’t one to miss!
In addition, check out one of the best pop songs of the last five years, ie Sandcastle Disco, as well as the Gossip’s cover of Aaliyah’s Are You That Somebody? which we posted a while back.
