Lucy Has A Field Day: New Kanye, Beyonce, HSM3, Taylor Swift, Rihanna
After a small dry spell, there is a bit of news abuzz in Lucy’s world of music: there’s new music from Kanye, Beyonce, the cast of HSM3, and Taylor Swift. And of course, there’s some Rihanna.
First off, and probably most importantly, Mr. West debuted a new track, and future single, at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. The track is called Love Lockdown. There’s been some mixed reaction to the new track, but we’re really liking it. There’s not much in terms of rapping on it (in fact, we’re not entirely sure there’s any) but it’s new and different, and it mean Kanye still has new directions to go in. Check out the live MP3 below. We can’t wait for the HQ version to leak (expect it to leak soon!!) There’s also rumor he’ll be dropping the follow-up to “Graduation” later this year.
Beyonce is also set to debut some new music in the next few days. She apparently has an album dropping later this year on November 18th (damn the bitch has been at work!), and will release two singles from the album If I Were A Boy and Single Ladies. Check back for updates soon!
Below is a new track from the third High School Musical movie. The movie and music could be shit, and it’d still bring in the big bucks. It won’t be shit though, it will be brilliant. The song’s called High School Musical. We don’t get it.
Tayler Swift, country princess, has also debuted a new track Love Story. It’s no Teardrops On My Guitar (where the hell is Drew??!) but it’s nice and may fare well on both country ad mainstream radio.
And just for kicks, you can watch Rihanna’s two performances at the VMA’s a couple of days ago. You all know that the bitch can do no wrong in our eyes, but her vocals on Disturbia are far from stellar. She kind of redeems herself with that jacket on Livin’ My Live with T.I. though, hehe.
