sally’s alley: lulu and the lampshades
above: relatively self-explanatory.
these girls are absolutely lovely – hailing from bristol, lulu & the lampshades (heloise & louisa “lampshade” on vocals) have beautifully luscious voices, like basia bulat w/a pinch of the pipettes, and an incredibly organic sound, with lots of interesting percussion, tambourines, & a quirky ukulele. their new single feet to the sky is a little jazzy, a little folksy, a little dancy, and an all around ecstatic drinking romp. there isn’t much official music out there from these guys, but the handful of demos that exist are spot on, and we’re really looking forward to more!!
