Our Favorite Remixes of 2008
2008 was home to some pretty amazing remixes. Aeroplane’s mesmerizing synth beats, with dreamy vocals from Au Revoir Simone, completely reinvents Friendly Fires’ Paris; Dave Aude updates Single Ladies into an equally dreamy, synth-driven jam; TEPR blows up Santogold’s Say Aha, crafting an absolutely insane, dance floor banger; DFA puts an old school spin on Paper Planes; Estelle’s American Boy becomes a trippy, rollicking techno-affair with the help of Stockholm Syndrome; and Wideboys turn Up into a stomping, sassy dance floor affair. Check those out, and a handful of other really fantastic remixes, below.
