linus: harper simon – “wishes and stars”

check it – harper simon dropped his self-titled debut album at the end of last year; we’re only just stumbling across some of his stuff now, but it’s all majorly fantastic.  harper simon has a soft, acoustic, almost vintage, folk sound – in fact, he sounds a lot like dad: paul simon.  we were dubious too (paul simon’s son??) but he definitely manages to make this sounds his own. the album features production from bob johnson (who’s worked w/ bob dylan, willie nelson, johnny cash, & of course simon and garfunkel) – wishes and stars is a beautiful, pop-folk tune (kind of reminds us of american tune, no?), and we think this album has the real potential to make an impact!

also: check out this pretty awesome clip of a 4-year-old harper & his dad singing bingo on sesame street from the 1970′s.

Wishes and Stars- Harper Simon

all they do is just have fun.
